I am one of the members of EMC Research China. I received my PhD degree in computer architecture from National Specialized Laboratory of Storage Systems in Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, in 2004. From February 2005 to January 2008, I was a research officer in Cambridge-Cranfield High Performance Computing Facilities, Cranfield University, United Kingdom. I joined EMC Research China as a senior research scientist in March 2008. I have served as committee members for several professional conferences in the field. I have authored and co-authored one book chapter, more than ten international journal papers, and several leading conference papers. I am on the editorial board of International Journal of Grid and High Performance Computing and a book titled Encyclopedia of Grid Computing Technologies and Applications. I am also a reviewer of several international journals. My research interests cover data storage, computer architecture, Grid computing, and performance evaluation etc.

Current Research Focus

• Green Computing
  • Due to the rising energy demands and the growing greenhouse gas emissions, governments and businesses are now focusing more attention than ever on improving energy efficiency. Energy efficiency is becoming one of the most important challenges in designing and managing computer systems and the corresponding infrastructures.
